The operator is referred to below as the “operator”, and the person booking the studio as the “customer”.
2. The service
- The operator lets the customer use the podcast studio for a short period during the booked time, including its equipment (4 microphones, headphones, mixing desk, teleprompter, ring light, modular lighting, colour LCD lamps, modular backdrops, tripods and lights) and a studio technician.
- The rental price includes the studio technician, coffee and water.
- The operator does not provide camera recording or post-production. The customer may film with their own cameras; the operator provides tripods and lights as part of the rental.
- The output is an audio recording, which the operator hands over to the customer after the session. We recommend that the customer backs up the recording immediately.
3. Booking and conclusion of the contract
- Bookings can be made via the booking form on the website, by e-mail or by phone.
- By submitting the booking form, the customer makes an offer to conclude a contract. The contract is concluded when the operator confirms the booking by e-mail.
- If the requested time is not available, the operator informs the customer without undue delay and offers an alternative time. An unconfirmed booking creates no obligation for the customer.
- The studio is available every day, including public holidays, from 9am to 6pm. The minimum rental is 1 hour on weekdays and 2 hours at weekends and on public holidays.
4. Price
- The rental price is CZK 1,100 per hour on weekdays and CZK 1,300 per hour at weekends and on public holidays. Every started hour is charged.
- The 10 + 2 free hours package (12 hours for the price of 10) costs CZK 11,000 for weekday sessions and CZK 13,000 for weekend sessions. Package hours can be used within 1 year of purchase.
- Prices include VAT.
- If, with the operator's consent, the customer uses the studio longer than booked, every additional started hour is charged according to the current price list.
5. Payment terms
- First booking: a customer booking the studio for the first time pays after the session, on site or by bank transfer as agreed with the studio technician.
- Later bookings: for every further booking, the operator issues an invoice after the session, payable within 7 days of issue.
- The operator issues the customer a tax document. To be invoiced as a company, the customer provides billing details (name, company ID, VAT ID, address) no later than at the session.
- In the event of late payment, the operator may charge statutory default interest and refuse further bookings from the customer until payment is made.
6. Cancellation and changes
- A booking can be cancelled or moved free of charge up to 24 hours before the booked start time, by e-mail to studio@dobrokruh.cz or by phone on +420 799 546 324.
- If the customer cancels less than 24 hours before the booked start time, or does not show up, the customer must pay a cancellation fee of CZK 1,000. The cancellation fee is due within 7 days of the booked date.
- Arriving late does not extend the booked time, and the full booked time is charged.
- The customer may cancel a free studio tour at any time without a fee. We appreciate being told in advance.
- If the operator cannot provide the booking for serious reasons (e.g. equipment failure, power outage), the operator informs the customer as soon as possible and offers an alternative time. In that case the customer pays nothing.
7. Studio tour
A free studio tour can be booked every weekday between 9am and 5pm. It takes about 30 minutes, is free of charge and creates no obligation to rent the studio.
8. Studio rules and liability
- The customer uses the studio and equipment with due care and follows the studio technician's instructions.
- The customer is liable for damage to the studio and equipment caused by the customer or by people the customer brings to the studio, except for normal wear and tear.
- The operator is not liable for items and equipment the customer brings to the studio, nor for the content of recordings.
- The customer is responsible for ensuring that the content recorded does not infringe the rights of third parties or the law.
- Copyright and other rights to the content of recordings belong to the customer or their guests. The operator does not use the recordings in any way.
- Smoking is not permitted in the studio.
9. Consumers
- If the customer is a consumer, they acknowledge that under Section 1837(j) of the Czech Civil Code they cannot withdraw within 14 days from a contract for leisure services provided on a specified date. The customer can, however, always cancel the booking under Article 6.
- Complaints about the service can be made by e-mail to studio@dobrokruh.cz. The operator will deal with them within 30 days at the latest.
- The Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Prague 2, adr.coi.cz, handles out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes.
- Compliance with the operator's obligations is supervised by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority and, for personal data protection, by the Office for Personal Data Protection.
10. Personal data
How we process customers' personal data is described in the privacy policy.
11. Final provisions
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, in particular Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code.
- The customer agrees to these terms by submitting a booking. The operator may change the terms. Confirmed bookings are governed by the version in effect when they were submitted.
